WORSHIP

ABOUT WORSHIP AT OUR REDEEMER

Sunday Worship at 9:00 A.M.

We gather to worship God because we believe that in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus the Christ, all things are made new, including us. Our pattern of worship dates to the early days of the church, and includes songs and silence, Bible readings and prayers, standing and sitting (you are free to do what is most comfortable for you).

At the heart of worship is the proclamation of the Good News and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. We gather each week around Christ’s table at our Lord’s invitation. All baptized Christians are always welcome at the Lord’s table. If children who are visiting participate in Holy Communion in their home congregations, they are most welcome to participate here.

Children are always warmly welcomed in worship. We celebrate that God’s people come in all shapes and sizes and abilities, and count it as a gift to the whole community when the smallest of us are present! Sitting with parents and learning to treasure times of worship together is the foundation for helping build a growing faith in a child’s life. For all of us, worship is a time for sitting and standing, speaking and singing, and more. Just so, there’s some noise and a variety of wiggly movements that we expect from our littlest ones - and it is all welcome among us. Children’s bulletins, crayons, and activity bags are available in the narthex. There is also space in the narthex, and a nursery, as needed.

Assistive Listening is available for those who have bluetooth capable personal hearing aids. In addition, there are also two Hearing Assistance Devices (with instructions) available for your use.

WEDNESDAY WORSHIP AT 6:15 P.M.

During Advent (November–December) and Lent (spring), we gather on Wednesday evenings for simple, meditative worship services. These services often focus on a special theme and feature cherished liturgies such as Holden Evening Prayer and Prayer Around the Cross, providing a reflective and spiritually enriching experience.

We also come together for special festival worship on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, celebrating these sacred seasons with joy, gratitude, and reverence. These services offer a time to connect with God and one another in celebration of the profound hope and love at the heart of these holy days.
